Job Description: 
We’re looking for an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to join our team and support a government-authorized system under the guidance of the Senior ISSM. In this role, you’ll play a key part in protecting a large classified wide area network (WAN), ensuring compliance with U.S. government cybersecurity standards such as ICD 503, RMF, JSIG, and NIST, as well as customer-specific requirements. You’ll lead and support a team of Information Systems Security Officers (ISSOs) through the full RMF lifecycle, from initial assessment to ongoing authorization.

 

We’re seeking someone with a solid background in both IT and cybersecurity, who can help define, implement, and maintain effective security policies, strategies, and procedures—including documentation like SSPs, POA&Ms, SOPs, and system profiles. You'll monitor the cybersecurity program through inspections and audits, apply corrective actions when needed, and work closely with stakeholders and IT teams to ensure a secure and compliant system environment. You’ll also respond to incidents such as data spills or integrity issues, and develop and deliver cybersecurity training to a range of users. Essential Functions: 
•    Track all assigned systems for A&A status and oversee accreditation/re-accreditation actions.
•    Evaluate and approve Assessment & Authorization (A&A) documentation of assigned systems.
•    Perform security control assessments and oversee execution of Continuous Monitoring Plans.
•    Interface with program management, IT leadership, and engineering functional leads to develop and maintain secure networks and implement best cybersecurity hygiene practices.
•    Coordinate with customer security representatives and operational leadership to provide status, complete deliverables, and facilitate assessment and authorization actions.
•    Ensure all systems are comprehensively monitored for anomalous activity.
•    Manage the spillage response process for areas of responsibility.
•    Develop new concepts or standards which make significant and impactful improvements to processes, systems, solutions, or products.
•    Provide tasking and guidance to ISSO team.

 

Qualifications: 
•    Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI.
•    Willingness to submit to a Full Scope (FS) polygraph investigation (current polygraph preferred).
•    DoD 8570.01-M IAM II certification.
•    Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
•    Minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience to include experience with networking equipment; experience interpreting vulnerability scanning results (e.g. Nessus, Rapid7, etc.); experience reviewing workstation, server, firewall, & IPS logs (e.g. Splunk); experience with SIEM, DLP, and/or UBA tools.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:
•    Graduate degree in Cybersecurity or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
•    Experience as an ISSO or ISSM managing cybersecurity on classified systems under multiple agencies’ JSIG, NISPOM Ch8, ICD 503, and/or NIST 800-53 implementations.
•    Experience developing, managing, and providing evidence to close POA&Ms associated with the A&A and project management processes.
•    Experience authoring and updating A&A body of evidence (BOE) documentation and Security Relevant Changes (SRC).
•    Experience with diverse workstation and server operating systems, including but not limited to Microsoft and Linux offerings.
•    Exceptional verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills, customer relationship building skills, analytical skills and ability to lead/mentor teams.
•    Able to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gain team consensus.
•    Excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
•    Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
•    High level of personal motivation and initiative to learn and acquire new skills.
