Job Description:  L3Harris is seeking a motivated entry-level Printed Circuit Board(PCB) Fabrication Engineer to join our Rapid PCB Fabrication Lab team. This hands-on role offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge PCB manufacturing technologies, supporting rapid prototyping and low-volume prototypes for critical defense applications. You will gain comprehensive experience across the entire PCB fabrication process—from design validation through final delivery—while working in a fast-paced, innovative engineering environment.

Essential Functions: 

  • Support design-for-manufacturability (DFM) reviews, design rule verification, and generate Gerber/drill files for PCB fabrication
  • Execute imaging and patterning operations including photoresist coating, UV exposure, and direct imaging using LED systems
  • Support multi-layer PCB processing through copper etching, photoresist stripping, and hydraulic lamination operations
  • Operate via/PTH interconnect formation equipment including CNC drilling/routing machines and electroless/electrolytic plating systems
  • Conduct external processing and surface finishing operations (ENIG, ENEPIG) including solder mask application and NPTH drilling
  • Perform quality control activities using electrical testing equipment (continuity, isolation, impedance), automated optical inspection (AOI), and cross-sectional analysis
  • Maintain equipment to optimize throughput and cycle time
  • Monitor and track key performance metrics including yield rates, defect density, cycle times, first-pass success rates, and customer satisfaction to support continuous improvement initiatives

 

Qualifications: 

  • To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.

  • Computer proficiency: MS Office, data entry, and ability to learn specialized software
  • Hands-on lab or coursework experience with electronics or manufacturing
  • Internship or co-op in electronics manufacturing (preferred)
  • Experience with soldering, assembly, or quality inspection (beneficial)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
