Job Description:
Aerojet-Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Sr. Specialist Requirements and Integration Engineer at our Orlando, FL location. Coleman Aerospace is a prime tactical and strategic missile target system provider supporting ballistic missile defense testing. High-Fidelity Air-Launched one, two, and three stage ballistic missile targets are their primary product line. Coleman’s capabilities range from the precision assembly of large missile structures to telemetry, avionics, networks, cold gas control systems, flight termination control modules, advanced vehicle guidance systems, environmental stress screening, qualification and acceptance testing. This role is responsible for defining, managing, and verifying system requirements across multiple components within an aerospace project, ensuring all systems seamlessly integrate and function together as intended, by collaborating with various engineering teams to translate high-level requirements into detailed specifications and oversee the integration process throughout the development lifecycle.
Essential Functions:
- Define, manage, and verify system requirements for aerospace projects.
- Ensure seamless integration and functionality of all system components.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate high-level requirements into detailed specifications.
- Generate and maintain interface control documents, hardware specifications, and verification/validation plans.
- Oversee the integration process throughout the development lifecycle.
- Engage in environmental stress screening, qualification, and acceptance testing.
- Gather, interpret, and analyze data to provide evidence of requirements verification.
- Support the execution of government technical interchange meetings (TIMs), major system level design reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and milestone reviews such as MSRR, MDR, PSRR.
- Ability to travel as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proven experience in requirements management and system integration within the aerospace industry.
- Strong understanding of missile systems and related technologies.
- The ability to understand mechanical and electrical aerospace drawings, environmental test requirements, and various aerospace analysis methods.
- Familiarity with Digital Engineering and MBSE tools and methodologies.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under general direction and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to verify system requirements.
- Experience supporting execution of technical interchange meetings (TIMs) and major system level design reviews for government customers.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
