Job Description: 

The Quality Technciian-C is responsible for ensuring that products meet established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves inspecting, testing, and sampling materials, parts, and products to ensure they conform to all specifications and quality standards. The Quality Technician-C works under limited supervision and follows standard procedures and practices to complete tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and internal and customer specifications.
  • Use precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to inspect products and materials.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste, and inputting data into quality databases.
  • Identify and report any defects or non-conformities and collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues.
  • Perform audits and inspections of processes and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors and production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associate’s degree with 2 years of prior related experience.
  • 4+ years’ experience working in regulated or standardized Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001:2015 or AS9100
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to work weekends and evenings as required to meet company objectives
  • Must be a United States Citizen

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements 
  • Knowledge of metrology methods.
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Self-starter, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess exceptional communication (both oral and written) and listening skills, with a strong orientation to details, and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
  • Strong relationship building skills
  •   at all levels of an organization and the ability to work effectively across functions within a matrix environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
