Job Description:
Aerojet-Rocketdyne, an L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for our Orlando, FL location. This position will be responsible for all hardware components assembly at the Orlando facility. This position involves leading a team that provides component assembly for programs at the Orlando site. Specific functions for this team include: Manufacturing Engineering, Production Control, Receiving, and Mechanical Assembly Technicians. Must be able to successfully manage and lead operational processes to achieve 100% safety, quality, schedules and cost targets with uncompromising ethics and compliance. Requires a positive and team-oriented leadership style with the ability to lead, train and successfully apply process improvements. The position also requires the ability to strategically plan, develop departmental budgets, develop staffing plans, and successfully achieve established departmental and site performance standards.
Coleman Aerospace is a prime tactical and strategic missile target system provider supporting ballistic missile defense testing. High-Fidelity Air-Launched one, two, and three stage ballistic missile targets are their primary product line. Coleman’s capabilities range from the precision assembly of large missile structures, to telemetry, avionics, networks, cold gas control systems, flight termination control modules, advanced vehicle guidance systems, environmental stress screening, qualification and acceptance testing. Coleman Aerospace also supports the Storable Chemical Energy Propulsion System (SCEPS) torpedo assembly program, incorporating a Rankine, closed-loop thermal system to drive the turbine.
Essential Functions:
· Provide technical and administrative management to the Production Operations, Flight Structures and Cable and Final Assembly areas as well as overseeing the SCEPs torpedo assembly area.
· Schedule and utilize employees, material and facilities to ensure that schedules and goals are met.
· Establish and maintain applicable records and reports monitoring internal operating controls.
· Provide training in manufacturing techniques, policies and procedures and/or safety and environmental procedures.
· Interpret and execute policies that affect supervised employees, as well as provide direction and guidelines for employees.
· Inspect and coordinate maintenance of equipment.
· Review designs for manufacturability as well as process plan approval/oversight.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant Engineering Management experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.

· Comprehensive knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline and may have broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
· Experience with operation schedules.
· Experience working in an equivalent operations environment.
· Experience with managing professional level team members.
· Possess proven leadership capabilities on major programs.
· ERP/MRP integration experience.
· Experience with process plan review/approvals.
· Experience with Material Management and Accounting Systems Audits.
