Job Description:

 

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Sr. Associate, Program Manager at the Aerojet Rocketdyne Segments Orange, VA site. Our site is near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC)!  This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.  This position works with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Test personnel to plan, propose and execute DoD, Prime Contractor Programs. This Program Management position will also interface with Finance and Contracts to manage contract scope execution, communicate with customers, data and product deliveries and own program-level financial status including bookings, revenue, profit and cash flow.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Assemble and lead integrated product team activities on small to medium sized programs, (annual revenue of $1-$10M), and interact with Engineering, Suppliers, Operations, functional managers, and customers to achieve program objectives.

  • Prepare program plans, coordinate cost estimates and manage Earned Value Management System (EVMS) for assigned work.

  • Coordinate integrated master schedule preparation with emphasis on accuracy of plan, critical path management, and task look-ahead.

  • Prepare presentations and lead teams in presentations to peers, customers, suppliers and managers.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

  • Up to 20% Business Travel to customers and suppliers to support program objectives.

  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant program management experience, Graduate Degree with 0-2 years of related program management experience, or 6 years of prior related program management experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 1 year of earned value management (EVM) experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Post Boost Control System program management experience.

  • Experience with Obsolete Material Replacement qualification efforts.

  • Practical experience with schedule development, critical path management, risk management, and EV management.

  • Experience with manufacturing and/or manufacturing coordination, planning, and scheduling.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Word).
