Job Description:  

Seeking a Material Process Engineer to work in a lab environment performing various wet chemistry techniques, moisture analyses, particle size analysis, calorimetry, mechanical property testing.

Essential Functions: 

• Manage projects and/or labatory test with general supervision.
• Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
• Recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
• Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior Material Process Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Material Process Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Material Process Engineering experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Advanced degree in Chemistry is preferred.
• Quality control lab experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of various wet chemistry techniques, moisture analyses, particle size analysis, calorimetry, mechanical property testing desired.
• Experience with American Standard Test Methods (ASTM’s), Military Specifications, and Weapons Specifications.
• Energetics or Propellant experience is desired.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools; Excel, PowerPoint.
• Project Management experience is desired.
