2:30  PM to 12:00 AM, Every other Friday 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM

 

Job Description:

The Missle Solutions Segment, part of L3Harris is seeking a Facilities Technician C to work at our Orange, VA location. Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington, DC) is growing!  This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

 

The Facility Technician (Electrician) will work under general supervision to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics and locally generated instructions. Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards. Will be required to follow work procedures, work on facilities, and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance.

 

Essential Functions:

Electrical Maintenance - Work with, troubleshoot and repair plant manufacturing equipment. Perform Preventive Maintenance on equipment. 

Installation of new equipment and electrical infrastructure (such as upgraded electrical panels, transformers, generators, etc.).

6S general shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing.

 

Qualifications:

Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

Journeyman electrician license strongly desired.  Training from a trade school is a plus.

Strong electrical experience / training in repairs in an industrial setting required.

Proficient computer skills (such as MS Outlook, Word and Excel) desired.

Safety and environmentally conscious.
