Job Description:

Our site near Culpeper, VA, in beautiful, rural Orange County is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs. 

An Engineering Technician supports tooling in prescribing compounds and providing preventive maintenance to complex custom equipment.

Essential Functions:

• Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, and laboratory areas.
• Assists in the test and check-out of custom tooling.
• Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• May work with complex machines or computer systems.
• Performs calibration and alignment check, prepares prescribed compounds and solutions
• Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
• Performs complete Preventive Maintenance on complex custom Tooling. 
• Major communications with multiple departments of Engineers

Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant Engineering Technician experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Tooling experience is preferred.
• Familiarity of GD&T
• Previous mechanical knowledge
