Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an RC-135 Ground Mission Systems Integration/Test Engineering Specialist for our location at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, providing maintenance, test, sustainment, and subject matter expertise on RC-135 mission systems training systems/simulators.
Essential Functions:
Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance within the first year
Operating and sustaining digital/computer-based systems, associated networks, digital and analog audio/interphone and recorder systems
Performing radio front panel and remote loading, configuration, and operation
Configuring, loading, operating, and maintaining various crypto devices
Troubleshooting/Repairing HF, VHF, and UHF receiver/transmitter radios as well as RF distribution, diplexers, and RF switches
Repairing coax, ethernet, and multi-pin cables and connections
Support installation, configuration, and validation of mission system upgrades, modifications, and repairs
Use engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, technical manuals, and test procedures to support maintenance and test activities.
Documenting system status using maintenance documentation systems, standardized forms and equipment tags
Managing system records and coordinating with maintenance supply organizations for requisition, documentation, and turn-in of parts
Must be worldwide deployable with travel up to 10% of the time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. 5% of the time and work various shifts depending upon mission requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of experience operating and sustaining computer and communication systems.
Graduate Degree with two (2) experience operating and sustaining computer and communication systems.
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) experience operating and sustaining computer and communication systems.
Must have an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI within the first year.
Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ within the first year
Preferred Additional Skills:
RC-135 or similar mission systems operation/sustainment experience
Familiarity with signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other advanced test equipment
DoD IAT level I or II certified
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
Experience with CISCO and Brocade switch diagnostic and troubleshooting commands.
