Job Description: 

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework, troubleshooting, and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. This role is part of a bargaining unit and is governed by the applicable union contract.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • RF / Microwave Testing: Ability to use R.F. test equipment to conduct some basic tests such as insertion loss, gain, and VSWR.  May require guidance in set ups of various tests. 
  • Position Stabilization: Has a basic understanding of gyro stabilization, and positioning loops. Able to use basic test equipment to verify functionality of components. Works with assembly to null synchro's and align gyroscopes. 
  • Communication Systems: Ability to make connections and establish communications to verify various data streams are present. 
  • Video: Able to set-up and correctly adjust video monitors and T.V. cameras. Able to recognize faults in video systems such as loss of sync, objectionable video noise, incorrectly adjusted display settings. 
  • Digital: Has a knowledge of the basic building blocks of digital electronics and how they integrate with each other. Able to test simple circuits and follow signals using a logic probe. 
  • Records & Documentation: Is able to work with most all KEO documentation. Asks for assistance when needed. 
  • Component & Sub-Assembly Level Testing: Able to perform some testing to drawing requirements at component levels and on simple sub assemblies. 
  • Micro Processor / Micro Computer / Programming of devices: Able to follow set procedures and program most devices. Asks for assistance when needed. 
  • Unit Level / System Level Testing: Can perform most of the operational tests that don’t require complex test set-ups. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or Associate Degree with 6 months relevant experience 
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, operation data sheets & computerized instructions 
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance

 

Preferred Additional Skills: 

  • Soft skills (I.E. Proficient in MS Office, Strong communication…) 
  • Knowledge (basic) of SAP 
  • Problem Solving 
  • IPC-610, IPC-620 and J-STD 001 2 
  • Secret Clearance
