Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Lead, Continuous Improvement manufacturing efforts in our Underseas Systems Division in Northampton, MA. This role will play a crucial role at the site in developing, leading, and influencing changes in the locations Continuous Improvement strategy, policies, practices, and/or approaches. Individual will identify and deploy Lean Sigma strategies, road maps, and projects within a fast-paced high mix low volume manufacturing environment. Individual will drive significant improvements in processes, systems, and/or products to achieve business financial and operational goals. Individual must leverage strong interpersonal skills, apply lean-sigma knowledge, and utilize a “hands-on” approach while leading and/or facilitating Lean Sigma projects/events within the organization at all levels.
Essential Functions:
Defines operational and strategic operational excellence approaches to ensure business success by developing, sustaining and continuously improving business processes and customer satisfaction. Collects and evaluates operational, service, and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Determines current performance, forecasts future performance and builds and manages detailed project plans to implement improvements and/or corrective actions. Deploys strategy across all functional areas and processes by utilizing Lean tools and Six Sigma principles. Collaborates with segments and/or functions to identify opportunities and influence improvement initiatives, business processes, waste reduction, training and the culture of continuous improvement. May analyze new business requirements and identifies and recommends the most effective approach and resolution to issues. Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, and compliance with procedures, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 9 years prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of degree, minimum of 13 years of prior relevant experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
- Manufacturing asssembly experience

- SAP/ERP Experience
- Electro mechanical and optical manufacturing experience (periscopes)
- PowerBI Experience
