Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Specialist, Cyber Intelligence to serve as the primary Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) supporting Space and Mission Systems programs in Northampton, MA. The position leads cybersecurity compliance for classified information systems and supports administration of the industrial security program in accordance with corporate policies, NISPOM/32 CFR Part 117, and applicable U.S. Government requirements. This role requires hands‑on cybersecurity experience, strong knowledge of classified operations, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, customers, and government security representatives.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Provide on‑site AFSO support for classified programs, including security compliance, account management, auditing, and support to the FSO for secure operations.
  • Serve as the primary ISSM for assigned classified information systems, maintaining the system security program and ensuring systems are operated and maintained in accordance with approved security plans, authorizations, corporate policy, and applicable U.S. Government requirements.
  • Lead RMF and authorization activities, including development and maintenance of security documentation, control implementation and assessment, POA&Ms, continuous monitoring, and ATO sustainment.
  • Manage information‑system security configuration and change‑control processes, reviewing hardware, software, firmware, account, and network changes that may impact the authorized security posture.
  • Perform or coordinate system‑security administration and technical compliance activities, including vulnerability scanning, STIG implementation, patching, antivirus updates, GPOs, encryption management, audit‑log review, and security‑event analysis.
  • Conduct or support system assessments, self‑inspections, customer and Government inspections, incident response, corrective‑action development, remediation tracking, and closure of cybersecurity findings.
  • Support physical security and access control for classified areas, including badging, visitor management, alarm‑response coordination, and facility‑security compliance in support of the FSO.
  • Support classified document, media, and material control, including accountability, storage, inventory, transmission, reproduction, sanitization, and destruction.
  • Deliver security training and awareness and coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, external customers, and Government agencies.
  • Perform additional assigned security duties and support limited travel as required.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of related cybersecurity or industrial‑security experience; OR 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active US Secret clearance required
  • Experience serving as an ISSM or ISSO for classified information systems.
  • Experience with RMF processes, system authorization/assessment, continuous monitoring, and cybersecurity compliance documentation.
  • Experience supporting classified programs in accordance with NISPOM, DAAPM, and applicable Government security requirements.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessments, system hardening, remediation tracking, and security compliance in a secure Windows environment.
  • Experience performing industrial‑security functions including personnel security, physical security, classified media/document control, and inspection support.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Security+, CISSP, or other relevant cybersecurity or industrial‑security certification
  • Experience with DCSA authorization guidance and tools (e.g., DAAPM).
  • Hands‑on experience with vulnerability/compliance tools such as Nessus, ACAS, or SCAP.
  • Strong Windows secure‑administration skills including patching, antivirus, GPOs, BitLocker, account management, and log analysis.
  • Experience with classified document accountability, media sanitization, destruction procedures, and security‑training/awareness programs.

 

 In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Massachusetts is $92,500- $171,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
