Title:  Material Planner and Production Planner

Job Description: L3Harris Technologies is seeking Production Planning Support in its Norfolk VA location. This individual will be responsible for planning, scheduling, coordinating and/or monitoring final approval of products through the complete production cycle to meet production schedules and requirements.  

Essential Functions:

• Work from drawings bills of materials to estimate materials and labor pricing. 
• Advise management of the status of work in progress by coordinating with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain as well as interfacing with engineering. 
• Bid and support of jobs in progress and supporting production line by tracking the workflow. 
• Work to resolve material shortages for backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions. 
• Work on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring some judgement.
• Works under limited supervision; fully proficient to perform production planning. 

Qualifications: 

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience
• Strong administrative experience to support production planning to include MRP. 
• Computer skills, MRP and Microsoft Suite
• Familiar with MRP and preferably Costpoint
• Work to achieve operation targets within job area
• Knowledge of material handling procedures and Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
