Schedule: Monday - Friday 5/40, First Shift
Under limited supervision the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for the evaluation, repair, overhaul, and testing, of circuit breakers, sub-assemblies and related electrical equipment. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols to ensure the reliability and safety of our end product.
Essential Functions:
- Repair and overhaul circuit breakers, sub-assemblies, and related electrical equipment.
- Perform evaluations, maintenance, and repairs on circuit breakers to ensure optimal performance.
- Replace or repair faulty components, such as contacts, coils, and insulation.
- Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to identify issues with circuit breakers and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, and non-conformances.
- Perform insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, and other relevant tests to verify the integrity of circuit breakers.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of evaluation and repair activities, including test results and inspections.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procedures and work instructions.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- Able to use MS Office (Excel, Word, Etc.)
- Must have a positive attitude, self-motivated with the ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within defined time limitations.
- Work with other departments as needed in a professional manner.
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills typically obtained by a combination of Education and Experience. Requires a High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a circuit breaker technician or in a related field.
- Experience with low, medium, and high voltage circuit breakers is a plus.
- United States Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Etc.)
