Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking Inventory Management Support at its Norfolk, VA location. This position is responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks to receive, store, distribute and ship materials, parts, supplies and equipment to support production line and custom assembly manufacturing activities.
Essential Functions:
- Receives incoming materials including operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and other powered industrial vehicles.
- Handles material handling adhering to Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
- Coordinates inventory management concerns within and outside the department on matters involving information sharing, explanation, or interpretation to understand and reach agreement
- Receives incoming material and transact via Costpoint for receipt, manage receiving and shipping files
- Works under limited supervision.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Operates material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles.
- Works to achieve operation targets within job area.
- Communicates within the department to meet material goals.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Knowledge of material handling procedures.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with Environmental Health and Safety requirements.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Intermediate Microsoft and computer knowledge.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
- Costpoint or relevant MRP knowledge.
