Job Description:

As a Security Architect at L3Harris Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, building, and overseeing the implementation of complex network and system security architectures. You will move beyond day-to-day operations to provide high-level strategic guidance, ensuring that our mission-critical defense and commercial technologies are resilient against advanced cyber threats. You will lead the evaluation of new technologies, define security standards, and serve as the technical authority for protecting our global infrastructure across cyber domains.

Essential Functions:

  • Design Security Architecture: Lead the design and development of robust security architectures for networks, and applications to meet mission-critical needs.
  • Conduct Architecture Analysis: Perform complex security architecture analysis to evaluate engineering initiatives and mitigate systemic risks before deployment.
  • Oversee Security Strategy: Provide expert guidance and oversight to SOC personnel and engineering teams to ensure optimum system performance and adherence to security standards.
  • Define Security Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive security policies, standards, and guidelines for data, applications, and hardware infrastructure.
  • Evaluate Emerging Technologies: Identify new technology initiatives and perform product evaluations to recommend and implement cutting-edge network security services.
  • Validate Engineering Solutions: Validate and test security designs to produce detailed engineering specifications, ensuring alignment with recommended vendor technologies.
  • Manage Risk & Compliance: Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, making critical security-related decisions based on contractual requirements and program procedures.
  • Drive Technical Integration: Develop complex technical and programmatic security assessments, evaluating engineering and integration initiatives to ensure "secure-by-design" principles.
  • Optimize Security Tooling: Provide expert oversight in the development and operation of firewalls, IDS/IPS, enterprise anti-virus, and SIEM tools.
  • Lead Incident Escalation: Serve as the final point of escalation for complex security incidents, managing the analysis of security anomalies from detection to final closure.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with engineering, program management, and customers to communicate effective security strategies and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • B. Tech / B.E in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, or related engineering field.
  • At least 6+ years focused on Security Architecture or Engineering.
  • Deep understanding of Security Architecture frameworks and detailed knowledge of IPSEC/SSL, Firewalls, SIEM, EDR, AAA, DNS Security ,F5 Load balancer and IDS/IPS implementation.
  • Strong experience in developing security policies and conducting architectural risk assessments.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP OR CCIE Security) are highly preferred.
