The Lead, Product Manager, is responsible for managing the cost and schedule requirements of a product line offering through all phases from proposal to fulfillment. The product manager analyzes and designs technical product enhancements, integrating the work of research and development, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and service functions for all or part of a new or potential product offerings. This role drives product strategy, roadmap execution, investment prioritization and cross-functional alignment to ensure delivery of scalable, mission-relevant capabilities to U.S. Government and international customers.

The Product Manager works closely with engineering, program management, operations, supply chain, finance, and business development to translate customer and market needs into executable product strategies while balancing cost, schedule performance and risk. This role will be based in Nashville, TN.

Essential Functions:

• Define and maintain product roadmaps and technical baselines, in partnership with engineering, including awareness of system architectures, key interfaces, and integration dependencies.
• Translate customer requirements, operational gaps, and market demand into clear product priorities and requirements.
• Serve as the product integrator and execution focal point across engineering, program management, operations, finance and business development, ensuring alignment of system architecture, interfaces and delivery commitments.
• Drive product-level decisions across cost, schedule, performance and risk, including architecture, interface and integration impacts.
• Develop product-level investment planning, including IRAD priorities, business cases and ROI justification.
• Support AOP, LRP, and budget planning by linking investments to roadmap outcomes and customer value.
• Interface across Product Line Management, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Configuration Management to ensure product requirements are executable and production-ready.
• Support capture and growth activities by providing product differentiation, technical positioning, and roadmap alignment.
• Communicates within and outside of own function or business area and has responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization (e.g., customers, vendors, etc.) when necessary.
• Assess competitive offerings, emerging threats and technology trends relevant to ForceX missions.
• Establish and execute product governance, including milestone reviews and leadership decision forums.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, contractual, and global trade requirements.
• Work with a cross-functional team to ensure products meet profitability metrics. Offer solutions and develop plans to improve profitability.
• Business Travel up to 10% to L3Harris or customer sites.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's with 6 years prior Product Manager / Product owner experience. Graduate Degree with 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level security clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing complex DoW or national security systems that integrate hardware, software and external platforms across development, production and sustainment.
• Strong understanding of DoW acquisition environments, and compliance requirements associated with fielded defense systems.
• Experience managing complex hardware and software-based systems across development, integration, production and sustainment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior leadership and customers.
• Experience supporting C-UAS, ISR, missile, C2, or mission systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior leadership and customers
• Experience working with both domestic and international customers.
• Active security clearance.
• Familiarity with production scaling, affordability targets, and lifecycle cost management.
