Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Level C Inventory Management Support employee to perform a variety of duties necessary to support the Company's logistics and hardware quality control requirements. This employee will interact with internal and external partners and work both independently and with members of the Contracts, Supply Chain, Program Management and Business Development teams. These interactions will include a variety of government and company property management, as well as hardware inspection related activities to minimize associated risk to the Company while supporting business growth goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform advanced shipping, receiving, handling, storage, and movement of materials, hardware, and accountable property in accordance with established procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Receive incoming materials and property; verify shipments for accuracy, completeness, condition, and documentation requirements.
  • Prepare, process, and coordinate domestic and international shipments in accordance with applicable regulations, contractual requirements, and company procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry within the Material Management Accountability System and other applicable logistics, inventory, or tracking systems.
  • Maintain complete and accurate records of accountable and auditable transactions associated with logistics operations.
  • Support and execute inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliations, and record corrections.
  • Prepares and supports Government Furnished Property, and Company Property audits, as applicable.
  • Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and support analysis related to inventory accuracy, material traceability, logistics metrics, and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate the movement of materials between storage, inspection, production, shipping, and other operational areas to support business requirements.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials and hardware for visible damage, identification accuracy, quantity, packaging, and conformance to handling or shipping requirements.
  • Support hardware inspection and documentation activities related to workmanship, functionality, and compliance with contractual or technical requirements, as needed.
  • Document and track material discrepancies, shipping issues, nonconformances, and return activity in accordance with established procedures.
  • Support and maintain Return Material Authorization records and related documentation for tracking, trend analysis, and audit purposes.
  • Communicate with suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding shipment status, logistics issues, delivery coordination, transportation costs, and problem resolution.
  • Resolve routine and moderately complex transportation, shipping, receiving, inventory, and logistics-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintains and improves logistics policies, procedures, work instructions, and related process documentation.
  • Review, evaluate, and process internal work tickets, material requests, logistics transactions, and supporting documentation.
  • Comply with Electrostatic Discharge requirements and applicable safety procedures when handling sensitive materials and hardware.
  • Provide guidance and day-to-day support to less experienced team members in logistics processes, systems, and documentation practices, as needed.
  • Identify process gaps, transaction issues, or material flow concerns and recommend improvements to support efficiency, compliance, and accuracy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of logistics and operational objectives.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, property accountability, or a related operational environment.
  • Experience using inventory, material management, shipping, or property accountability systems.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and processing auditable logistics transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to support inventory activities, shipment coordination, material tracking, and issue resolution in an operational environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaborate effectively across functions.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency with standard computer applications and data entry systems.
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Associate degree or technical training in logistics, supply chain, quality, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Experience with government property control or Government Furnished Property processes.
  • Familiarity with domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation.
  • Experience supporting inventory audits, compliance reviews, or audit readiness activities.
  • Knowledge of Return Material Authorization processes.
  • Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge handling requirements.
  • Experience reviewing technical requirements, drawings, specifications, or contractual inspection criteria.
