L3Harris Technologies is actively seeking a Customs Compliance Official, Trade Compliance Senior Specialist for REMOTE support of Wescam USA logistic operations.

Job Description:
- Trade Compliance Sr. Specialist will serve as Customs Compliance Officer for Wescam USA operations.
- Coordinates and supports cross-border logistics with Canadian OEM to include international and US customer deliveries, RMAs, and service center operations
- Prepares import/export shipment documentation in accordance with federal regulations to support international business, manages carnets and other shipment documents to include recordkeeping, monitors shipments / deliveries and ensurse timely resolution of any issues or delays.
- Supports external or internal audits of operations and functions as POC for inquiries from US governmental agencies such as Customs, FDA and/or Census through data gathering and corrective action execution as instructed by the Trade Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or review shipping documents for imports /exports to ensure all required documents are compliant with applicable US and/or foreign regulatory requirements
- Review entries received from the broker within 24 hours of receipt
- Check for correct classification, value, cartons, origin, antidumping, duty and/or tariff assessment, documentation, entry type, and billing
- Communicate shipment instructions to Freight Forwarder timely; File or coordinate the applicable AES or entry filing with designated Freight Forwarder/U.S. Customs Broker(s)
- Verify Schedule B Classification/Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) as required by regulation and policy
- Maintain import and export records including shipment logs in accordance with CBP regulations (19 CFR 163) as well as L3Harris policies and procedures.
- Monitor and support compliance with FDA regulations for import(s); Temporary Import under Bond shipments; ATA Carnets and other foreign and domestic regulatory requirements as applicable
- Determine, verify and maintain CBP (19 CFR and FTR) requirements for all proposed export/imports, consult with the Global Trade Group, Customs Trade Compliance Team, and/or the Empowered Official.
- Notify the SBU’s EO and Customs Trade Compliance Team of any domestic or foreign detention, seizure, compliance and/or disciplinary inquiry or action that is, or has the potential to be, imposed upon the Corporation by the U.S. or foreign government for noncompliance with U.S. Export/Import laws and regulations.
- Support investigation and give other assistance necessary to address a potential or an actual violation.

Qualifications
- Licensed Customs Broker preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business and 6 years of equivalent training/experience.
- 6-8 years of prior relevant experience in U.S. import/export compliance with emphasis in global supply chain logistics/traffic and compliance documentation.
- Knowledge of 19 CFR, Foreign Trade Regulations, Export Administration Regulation (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Professional understanding of INCO terms and international logistics process flows
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment with time-critical schedule events
- Ability to work remotely with no on-site management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Proficient in the use of PC, included MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
- Ability to learn and utilize various internal software platforms.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $82,500.00 MIN - $153,000.00 MAX]. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $71,500.00 MIN - $132,500.00 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
