Title:  Technical Lead - System Engineering

About your next Challenge as a Technical Lead - System Engineering:

This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding division and play a significant role in the growth of our power division product line specifically within the nuclear power control and nuclear power simulation control. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Lead to lead system engineering activities, ensuring the strong design, integration, and verification of our control and data acquisition systems. This role demands a strong technical foundation across several engineering disciplines with a primary focus on electrical engineering, and a methodical approach to system development. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in both English and French, a proven track record in system engineering, and the ability to lead technical initiatives within a collaborative environment.

 

What will you do:

  • Participate actively in systems design activities from conceptualization through detailed design.

  • Experience with selection/design of hardware for the control and monitoring of process plant instrumentation.

  • Conduct thorough Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) analyses to ensure system performance and longevity.

  • Lead technical planning and execution for system integration, verification, and validation efforts.

  • Translate customer-derived requirements into precise hardware and software specifications.

  • Contribute to the development of comprehensive test plans, detailed test procedures, and the maintenance of rigorous requirements traceability matrices and test reports.

  • Exhibit proficiency in systematic testing methodologies, issue identification, and the implementation of effective corrective actions, including troubleshooting to the sub-assembly level.

  • Oversee the setup and execution of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing in accordance with internal procedures and relevant industry standards.

  • Experience with DOORS for the effective management of system requirements

  • Utilize working knowledge of power supply technology, grounding architectures, and isolation concepts in system design.

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, development, and stakeholder groups.

  • Apply proficiency in programming languages such as Assembler, C, and C++ to support automation and testing activities.
     

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • Bachelor's level degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years project engineering experience or related work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication (French and English). The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.

 

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
