Title:  Quality Control Inspector

About your next Challenge as a Quality Control Inspector :

What will you do:

  • Maintain quality control in accordance with established guidelines and standards;
  • Compare products (incoming, source/surveillance and outgoing inspection) with released engineering drawings, purchase orders and other contractual requirements as specified by the project authority;
  • Ensure timely and orderly completion of inspections as required by the business;
  • Document any deviations, lessons learned or non-conformances;
  • Prepare written reports of inspection results in a timely manner;
  • Evaluate responses to inspection reports and perform follow-ups with respondents, management, or others, if needed, to ensure resolution;
  • Respond to customer issues and inquiries with appropriate sense of urgency and business criticality;
  • Perform hardware configuration management;
  • Participate in test and validation activities to ensure product’s design is verified with agreed requirements.

 

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience;
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervisionOrganizational skills, and cross-group work experience
  • Good MS office skills Excel, Word, Outlook;
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, Military or Nuclear industry quality standards are considered an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an asset;
  • Familiarity with hardware configuration management is an asset
  • The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.

 

Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2 / NATO Secret security clearance.
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
