Compensation Range: Between $57,500 - $107,500 CDN annually
We are seeking a Buyer to support procurement activities across the full supply chain lifecycle. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing materials and services, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring on-time delivery in support of operational and program requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Issue RFQs, analyze bids, and negotiate pricing and delivery terms.
- Create and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in the ERP system.
- Monitor supplier performance and expedite critical orders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Resolve delivery, quality, and invoice discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Program Management, Quality, Finance, Logistics).
- Support inventory accuracy and audit activities.
Key Metrics for Success
- On-time delivery (OTD).
- Procurement cycle time.
- Cost savings and budget adherence.
- Supplier performance and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of procurement or supply chain experience.
- Experience with ERP systems (IFS preferred).
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
- Collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
