About your next Challenge as a Specialist, Production Planning:
The Production Planning Specialist is responsible for planning the production of the various projects within theirscope. The Production Planning Specialist will also be responsible for ensuring coordination between the variousdepartments in order to obtain components, parts, technical and other documentation on time to meet theschedule. In addition, they will act as liaison between operations and the customer representative.
What will you do:
- Analyze customer requirements, initiate internal production orders and monitor activities through to delivery;
- Follow-up with various departments to obtain missing elements impacting the project (Engineering, Methods,QC, Programs);
- Track all manufacturing / purchasing process inputs to meet 100% of customer orders;
- Establish a manufacturing schedule, analyze and manage the impact of changes;
- Analyze MRP system exception messages and take appropriate action;
- Provide support to production employees - prioritization, various follow-ups, issue material etc.;
- Review and maintain planning parameters related in the different systems to its product folio in order to meetservice level objectives;
- Make suggestions to reduce the risk of shortages and inventory levels;
- Generate and prepare performance measurement reports on project status, missing parts status, servicelevels;
- Recommend the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving and/orstandardizing processes in its sector;
- Attend several meetings; and
- All other related tasks.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Professional degree in operations management or equivalent and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevantexperience in production and/or material planning or;
- Bachelor's degree in operations management or equivalent and a minimum of four (4) years of relevantexperience in production and/or materials planning or;
- Graduate degree in operations management or equivalent and a minimum of two (2) years' relevantexperience in production and/or materials planning;
- Knowledge of SAP;
- Knowledge of MS Project and Power BI is an asset;
- Excellent analytical and communication skills in both French and English. The knowledge of the English language, other than the French language is necessary due to contractual requirements.
- Teamwork, leadership, availability, flexibility, attention to detail, stress management and customer service areassets.
Eligibility Criteria (Mandatory):
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) security clearance.
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
