About your next challenge as Senior Specialist, Material Management:
As Senior Materiel Management Planner, you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of logistics strategies to ensure the maintenance of an optimal level of inventory for various programs.
You will implement key performance indicator in material management and drive continuous improvement of the processes and procedure in order to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations.
A key factor of success to meet our customer’s needs is work closely with several functions within the company (program, engineering, procurement, methods, production and finance) in a multi-site context. As Senior Materiel Management Planner, you will be responsible for the definition and implementation of logistics strategies to ensure the maintenance of an optimal level of inventory for various programs.
You will implement key performance indicator in material management and drive continuous improvement of the processes and procedure in order to meet and exceed the customer’s expectations.
What you will do:
Seek and analyze available data from various sources, including the history of inventory levels in order to:
- Using statistical methods and considering the various inputs from different specialists, generate a detailed long term material forecast;
- Identify the need for materials, equipment, tools or other for the company;
- Calculate and maintain planning parameters for all parts under your custody (ex.: Min/Max);
- Rigorously monitor inventory levels in order to avoid shortage and ensure optimal stock turns;
- Identify, develop and implement the optimal material flow for an aircraft component from component reception to final destination in collaboration with the supply team;
- Develop and maintain performance indicators at the materiel management level;
- Plan, prepare and manage annual inventory counts in a multi-site context;
- Participate in the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of a computerized data management system taking into account not only the needs of the organization but also the customers and suppliers;
- Lead the development and implementation of material management strategies in a multi-site context;
- Drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to improve materiel management;
- Lead the development, implementation and communication of materiel management procedures.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent;
- Six (6) years of relevant material management experience (any other equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered);
- Very good knowledge of logistics chain concepts and processes and inventory management;
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Advanced level knowledge for Excel;
- Knowledge of SAP an asset;
- Excellent communication skills in both French and English (oral and written);
- Analytical, Adaptability, Teamwork, Initiative skills;
- Customer service oriented;
- Available to travel (10% of the time).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
