Our current portfolio of programs includes a wide spectrum of In-Service-Support activities in support of Department of National Defence fleets and commercial customers. L3 Harris MAS is looking to hire a Program Management Specialist / Scheduler as a key member of the Program Management team.

 

Essential Functions:

Reporting to the Program/Proposal Manager, your role will be to carry out the overall planning of the program activities to ensure optimal management of resources and to meet customer requirements and to support the Program Management Office (PMO) Manager and Program team with the implementation of process improvements and monitoring/support. As part of your duties, you will be responsible to ensure major program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups and partner.

 

  • In close collaboration with the Program/Proposal team members, you will be responsible to:
  • Understand the Statement Of Work (SOW), requirements and contractual obligations;
  • Support the definition of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and WBS dictionary;
  • Develop and maintain the integrated master schedule and program budget;
  • Optimize plans and schedules, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts, resource leveling, etc. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques;
  • Support risk identification, analysis and associated mitigation plan;
  • Assist the Program/Proposal Manager with scope (requirements) changes and related schedule impacts;
  • Lead and facilitate internal team meetings and work sessions;
  • Ensure the management of conflicting priorities;
  • Support the PMO Manager with implementing Program process improvements and changes;
  • Provide support to the Program team with the Program Processes and tools.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or other related field required;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program scheduling or relevant experience;
  • Advance level with MS Project and Excel;
  • Knowledge of SAP’s  PS (Project System) module is an asset;
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Earned Value Management;
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English;
  • Planning, analytical, and decision making skills; 
  • Interpersonal skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively balance priorities;       
  • Autonomous, exercise good judgment, reliable.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
