Compensation Range: Between $113,000 - $163,000 CDN annually

 

Essential Functions:

Under the responsibility of the Specialty Engineering Senior Manager the CMDM Manager will supervise a team of Configuration and Data Management Specialists supporting various programs. Key activities will be as follows:

  • Select, supervise and evaluate personnel;
  • Liaise with both internal and external clients;
  • Provide performance measurement and KPIs;
  • Review monthly labour forecasts and identify resource requirements to meet work demands;
  • Manage the introduction of new tools within the CMDM team, as required per programs requirements;
  • Periodically revise and update procedures and processes;
  • Provide CMDM expertise to bids and proposals, as required;
  • Provide mentorship and coaching;
  • Implement new ways to perform the work as a means of improving overall group efficiency;
  • Promote team work, diversity and respect of L3 Core value.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in configuration and data management, including 5+ years of resources management experience or leadership of a team working in the CMDM discipline, preferably in aerospace and/or defense;
  • Experience with budget management, earned value variance justification, task estimates (EAC, ETC);
  • Good understanding of the financial and business imperatives of a CMDM organisation;
  • Knowledge of Configuration Standard EIA-649;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications;
  • Familiarity with Dassault's Enovia PLM software an asset;
  • Technical familiarity with L3Harris various aircraft fleets an asset;
  • Capability to mentor, lead and give technical direction to a CMDM team;
  • Capability to interact and support external customer in both French and English;
  • Strong presentation skills (presentations to colleagues, senior management, customers);
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in both French and English.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
