Essential Functions:
The Electrical/Avionics analyst participates in the implementation of engineering projects and services specifically related to Electrical/Avionics (control, navigation, communication, antenna, energy and electrical circuits) and electrical wiring for military and commercial aircraft.
- Apply knowledge of embedded systems and Electrical/Avionics for aerospace (i.e. define, design, develop, simulate, test, validate/verify);
- Ensure the adequacy between the established technical requirements and the proposed engineering solutions;
- Ensure the technical compliance of products and services in accordance with the needs of internal and external customers;
- Apply aeronautical regulations, standards, and procedures (FAR, CAR, JAR, RAC, TAM, etc.) to support a certification file;
- Participate in technical reviews and problem-solving activities;
- Prepare analysis and technical reports;
- Perform electrical load analysis;
- Analyze or modify circuit diagrams and electrical cables;
- Prepare or modify electrical schematic drawings using computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) tools and/or computer-aided drawing (CAD) tools, in accordance with company and customer standards;
- Support technical activities and the customer during the production of prototypes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Avionics/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required;
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Experience with computer-aided drawing systems (knowledge of CATIA V5) is an asset;
- Knowledge of ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, ARINC 739, DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754, AS9100, MIL-STD-810 (Environmental Engineering Considerations and Laboratory Tests) and DO-160 (Environmental Conditions and Test) standards Procedures for Airborne Equipment), etc. is an asset;
- Mastery of software from the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access);
- Honest, passionate, autonomous and team player;
- Results-oriented and able to maintain a balance between professional commitments and personal obligations;
- Experience in quality aspects and verification of electrical diagrams is an asset;
- Essential spoken and written bilingualism (English and French).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
