Title:  Specialist Production Planning 1

Job Description:

Manage and maintain the day-to-day planned order conversion to production orders. Review & resolve MRP action messages for "make" materials.  Create work orders /rework shop orders diagnose and resolve BOM issues (post Kitting). Resolve Quality Notification (QN) response - Resolve MRB issues Send nonconformance issues found during production to quality to initiate RTV; manage MO updates because of RTV Ensure routings, and lot sizing for "make" items are up to date in conjunction w/ ME.

Essential Functions:

• Working under general supervision, the successful candidate will work in a dynamic, highly engineered product environment with changing requirements and schedules, and be able to effectively interface with all levels of personnel, and can plan, organize, and track work assignments.
• Analyze program manufacturing bill of materials (MBOM) and schedules for the manufacturing, assembly, and test of hardware.
• Track both raw materials and finished parts through shop areas.
• Coordinate with other organizations as needed to ensure that schedule commitments are being met.
• Interface with Program and Master Schedulers in support of the Integrated Production Master Schedule to resolve conflicts with other programs. If schedule is impacted, will be able to understand and communicate what is needed from the team to get back on track.
• Identify and communicate concerns and issues with potential scheduling impacts. Use historical and forecast data, with the goal of helping program teams reach optimum solutions to issues/concerns involving internal and external customer requirements. Make recommendations to your team on how schedules can be minimally impacted.
• Interface with Procurement and Engineering to ensure material readiness.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.  Must understand MRP Manufacturing Planning Systems, ideally Costpoint. Experience and understanding of requirements in the requisitioning, purchasing, stocking, control and issuance of inventory.  

 Preferred Additional Skills:

• Capable of generating moderately complex spreadsheets and reports utilizing: Microsoft Excel (pivot tables) and Microsoft Word.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $68,500-127,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
