Title: Senior Specialist Facilities

Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a senior professional with strong knowledge of facilities project management for our Millersville, MD; Hanover, MD; and Ashway, RI locations. This individual will communicate within and outside of the company to support L3Harris’ customer missions. This individual will be responsible for managing complex projects or processes with general oversight.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the interior design, space planning, construction management, maintenance and operations of all company facilities and grounds, leased and owned.
- Develops, manages and tracks facilities capital and facilities operating expense budgets and establishes long-range facilities strategic plans in support of business goals.
- Oversees the planning and implementation of space allocation, furniture and equipment layouts, communication services and networking requirements.
- Ensures facilities’ compliance with building codes, guidelines, and regulations.
- Responsible for preventative, routine and emergency repair and maintenance of all facilities and facilities support equipment.
- Responsible to maintain and utilize a facilities maintenance management and work order system.
- Inspects facilities and evaluates such factors as HVAC systems, lighting, size, condition and suitability for occupancy.
- Coordinates work of contractors and interfaces with external government agencies on facilities matters.
- Jointly responsible for facilities security and health and safety standards within the facility
Qualifications:
- Requires practical knowledge of job area. Typically viewed as having a specialty within discipline.
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience creating RFP’s and scopes of work
- Experience working with local governments to understand and obtain permits
- Experience in writing business justifications and producing formal funding requests for capital projects
- Dynamic and active communicator – able to personally lead selected projects and communicate with external firms and consultants
- Strong collaboration skills – demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment
- Strong project and program management skills; ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $82,500-153,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
