About the Opportunity:
L3Harris is seeking an experienced engineer to support the Verification and Validation activities to assist with the delivery of the Airservices Australia Enterprise Network Modernization Program (ENMP). This is an important role focusing on the ongoing Verification and Validation of the overall system and is based in Melbourne, Australia.

Roles & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be directly supporting the V&V Manager. This engineer will follow the test process for all test-related activities within the mission-critical program and be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and enforcement of test processes.
The engineer is responsible for working with the team by supporting or conducting verification of the overall system and the service verification environments in accordance with associated plans, processes and procedures.
This position requires an Airservices background check with duties to include:
- Develop System Level Test Plans, System Test Procedures and other required System test documents.
- Execute or supervise System test activities in accordance with associated plans, processes and procedures.
- Coordinate with the V&V lead as required to close project actions and issues.
- Identify test risks and opportunities and report up to the project lead.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and report up to the V&V lead.
- Work technical issues to closure using a robust engineering process.
- Work with Configuration Management, Quality Assurance and Test staff to maintain test environment control and test platform validation.
- Work with System Engineering to ensure test methods and procedures remain aligned with functional and non-functional requirements throughout the Program lifecycle.
- Help coordinate the support contractor test activities throughout the subsystem testing.
- Support the test environments, including adhering to formal configuration management practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Computer Science, Communication Engineering, Information Technology, or similar technical degree with a minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Verification & Validation background (System/Network Integration/Verification Testing)
- Able to qualify for and obtain Australian Defense security clearance to NV1.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) on large electronic system deployments.
- Experience working directly with Airservices or similar Governmental Air Traffic organization to develop, test and deploy a new automation or network service to the field.
- Experience in a multi-disciplined engineering environment, with stringent Safety and Security requirements.
- Experience in automated testing
- Experience with Voice Communications Systems, Radios, Telephony (VoIP, analog or digital).
- Experience working on large networked systems.
- Experience with Validation Test Bed management and sustainment.
- Experience managing work streams in Jira.
- Other less relevant but adjacent competencies such as programming/coding, electronics projects, ICT skills, hardware development, project management are also beneficial.
