Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Global Trade Delivery Lead to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of IT solutions that support global trade operations. This role requires a deep understanding of global trade processes, IT project management, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions.
Essential Functions:
- Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects related to global trade, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with global trade teams, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop project plans.
- Solution Design: Design and implement IT solutions that support global trade operations, including customs compliance, import/export processes, and trade finance.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful project delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all IT solutions meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance: Proactively monitor application implementations for potential global trade violations.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of global trade operations.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with Descartes OCR EASE
- Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance requirements.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems, and global trade management software.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
