Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an experienced Data Analyst responsible for managing datasets alongside our engineering/architecture teams, generating reports and models, creating visualizations, and delivering their insights in presentation form. Have a strong background in mathematics and statistics, and excellent communication skills. This position is to support a nationwide customer in a mission critical operational environment where responsiveness, reliability and adaptiveness are requirements. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.


Essential Functions: 

  • Coordinates continuous improvement initiative ideas between personnel and management using established tools
  • Produces daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports as assigned 
  • Regularly examines data reports to identify and resolve data integrity issues
  • Participates in projects and other tasks as assigned
  • Communicates the results of data analysis in written and verbal form to managers
  • Processing confidential data and information
  • Helping develop and modify reports as required to meet program needs
  • Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.
  • Supporting the data warehouse in identifying and revising reporting
  • Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems
  • Generating reports from single or multiple
  • Troubleshooting the reporting database environment ensuring tools and reports are working with latest software revision requirements
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business
  • Create data tools for analytics and team members that assist them in building and optimizing product workflows

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • At least 2 years prior experience and understanding of Metrics principles, processes and producing reports

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Expert level experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables, graphs and charts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively relate data to coworkers
