Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Associate, Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will work on the integration of complex algorithms on low SWAP edge devices and support the automation of large systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Algorithm Integration: Develop and integrate complex algorithms onto low SWAP edge devices, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- System Automation: Support the automation of large systems, enhancing their functionality and reliability.
- Research and Development: Conduct research to advance the state-of-the-art in edge computing and system automation.
- Prototyping and Testing: Build prototypes and perform rigorous testing to validate the performance of integrated algorithms and automated systems.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and data scientists, to achieve project goals.
- Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and research reports.
- Innovation: Contribute to the innovation pipeline by proposing new ideas and solutions to improve existing systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Education: PHD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or similar.
- Experience with algorithm development and optimization.
- Familiarity with edge computing and low SWAP devices.
- Knowledge of system automation and control systems.
- Research Experience: Demonstrated research experience in relevant areas, with publications in reputable conferences or journals.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to a diverse audience.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms.
- Knowledge of embedded systems and real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with hardware-software co-design.
- Experience with simulation tools and environments.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $105,500-126,600. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
