Are you a motivated individual looking to advance your career in a dynamic and innovative environment? L3Harris is seeking a Network Planning Engineer to support the FAA/FTI program. As a Tier 3 Network Engineer at L3Harris, you will play a key role in supporting innovative network solutions. You will support design, implementation, and optimization of communication network solutions based on customer needs, collaborate with internal and external teams and developing procedures for implementing new network designs and managing small to large network projects.

Essential Functions:
- Provide 3rd level support for troubleshooting and resolving IP backbone and customer routing issues.
- Design, engineer, and implement solutions that support customer requirements and critical backbone architecture.
- Create network documentation and training as required for supporting engineering and NOC teams.
- Define and implement best practices for network and capacity management.
- Identify areas of opportunity for automation and network optimization.
- Routinely perform proof of concepts and service trials while documenting system integration.
- Support on-call rotation and planned off-hours maintenance events as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Experience in the design, development, and implementation of IP and MPLS network architecture
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Domain knowledge of data protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, HSRP, IS-IS, LDP, PIM, MSDP, and Ethernet.
- Automation scripting experience (e.g., Python).
- Cisco networking certifications (CCNP).
