L3Harris is seeking a proactive and solutions-focused Ethics & Compliance paralegal to support the operation of the Ethics & Compliance program across the Company and around the world.  This role will report to the Director, Counsel, Ethics & Compliance and will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the Ethics program, including the L3Harris Ethics help line, workplace investigations, the Mandatory Disclosure program, Ethics training and communication, and the Anti-Corruption program.

Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys and Ethics investigators on all aspects of internal and external investigations, including fact-finding, issuing legal holds, gathering relevant records, and assisting with eDiscovery projects in support of investigations.
  • Day-to-day management of the L3Harris Ethics help line database, including support of triage, assignment, and close-out activities.
  • Track Ethics reporting metrics and evaluate trends and risks.
  • Develop presentations and reports on the Ethics program and key performance indicators for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Responsible for administration of the Mandatory Disclosures program, including tracking Disclosures and preparing materials for review by the Mandatory Disclosure Committee.
  • Support all aspects of the L3Harris Ethics & Compliance program, including Communications, the Ethics Advisor program, Ethics Week, and the Ethics & Compliance web site.
  • Administrative responsibilities for the Policy Review Board, ensuring regular review of corporate policies and accurate record-keeping.
  • Work with the Anti-Corruption team to support evaluation of third-party risks, as well as monitoring and auditing activities.
  • Conduct fact-finding, gather relevant records, and assist with eDiscovery projects in support of internal and external investigations.
  • Identify opportunities to develop standard work, guidelines, and playbooks to improve efficiency of Ethics operations.
  • Work across departments and legal functions to support audits and special projects.
  • Up to 10% travel possible

 

Other duties may include:

  • Provide paralegal support on legal matters and special projects across the legal department.
  • Providing additional support to the Litigation and Legal Operations teams.
  • Serve as first point of contact and triage resource for other departments contacting the Legal Department with questions on Ethics matters and processes.
  • Conduct legal or policy research in support of Ethics initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience; Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.  
  • Ability to manage numerous projects that require interaction with multiple attorneys, departments, and internal and external legal and non-legal clients
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software applications
  • Strong preference for candidates with law firm or in-house legal department experience at a large company.
  • Certified Legal Assistant designation or have passed the Paralegal Advanced Competency Examination
  • Some eDiscovery experience.
