Job Description:

The Operational Excellence Support Associate provides financial support for CI activities, operational reporting, SharePoint site maintenance, and best-practice sharing across the organization. This role focuses on maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with reporting and data validation, coordinating communication materials, and providing financial support to CI and Operations teams with tools, templates, and structured processes. A key part of the role is coordinating with sector PFAs to financially validate savings on larger projects. This position will also financially support discretionary spend analysis (IRAD and B&P)

 

Essential Functions:

  • Support the identification, documentation, and rollout of key CI and Operations projects across the organization.
  • Financial Planning & Reporting
    • Annual target planning
    • Manage monthly consolidated reporting (task and risk assessment)
    • Support the financial validation of key projects with sector PFAs or cost planning team for OH related projects
    • Report on negative EACs to help with project selection
    • Ops review reporting as needed
  • Assist with CI templates, trackers, and tools used at sites and divisions to support consistency and adoption.
  • Participate in CI team meetings and assist with action items and follow-up.
  • Support simple updates to existing BI dashboards or spreadsheets under guidance.
  • Support creation of communication materials and consolidate PowerPoint presentations for CI and Operations.
  • Working closely with strategy and business development leads, assist in the appropriations of IRAD and B&P funding, managing AOP, forecast and actuals

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in finance or accounting, operations finance is desired.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Experience financially validating CI projects (e3, LHX NeXt, synergies, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work cross-functionally
  • Continuous Improvement, Operations, or administrative support experience is a plus
  • Experience financially supporting discretionary spend (IRAD and B&P)
  • Must have strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills. 
  • Must be self-directed, proactive, and possess leadership skills. 
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel, SharePoint, Power BI or other reporting tools
