Job Description:

Corporate Headquarters of L3Harris Technologies has an opening for a Sr. Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team in Melbourne, FL. This individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and critical assignments. They will support a collaborative team that provides senior leadership with detailed reporting and proactive analysis of our financial forecasts. This individual will lead the development of one employee, managing on time and accurate deliverables.

Essential Functions:

  • Serves as primary contact for the forecasting of the L3Harris Income Statement, Orders/Backlog, Segment/Division consolidations, and various supplemental accounts
  • Identifies and monitors the enterprise Risk and Opportunities to meet targets, alerts leadership with areas for closure through trend analysis and specific actions
  • Supports AOP/JSP activities, and directly contributes to key metrics
  • Manages HFM quarterly/yearly/JSP/AOP forecast cycles
  • Collaborates cross-functionally, connects with senior leadership in a timely manner, and clearly and effectively communicates information
  • Drives operational efficiencies through process improvements
  • Assists with ad hoc requests and leads special projects

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

  • Self-motivated and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people of all levels within the organization
  • Ability to proactively solve problems and issues in a timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Provides guidance, coaching and training to direct employee and indirectly to other employees across the FP&A organization
  • Prior experience with a government contractor or aerospace and defense company; including knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, SAP, Hyperion Financial Managment
