Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and experience in supporting managed services for the Information Technology organization. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to optimize financial performance and support managed services operations.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee the financial aspects of managed services contracts, ensuring accurate billing, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Act as the primary financial point of contact for managed services providers, coordinating and managing financial transactions to meet business needs.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and financial management.
- Lead and participate in financial planning and analysis related to managed services, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Provide financial expertise and support for complex issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to managed services financial processes, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on managed services support or a similar role.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and financial agreements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex financial issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Proactive in solving problems and issues in a timely manner with minimal supervision
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills
- Background in budgeting and/or forecasting analytics
- PeopleSoft Financials and Hyperion Planning experience
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
