Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Network Planning Engineer to support the FAA/FTI program. As an IP Network Configuration Engineer at L3Harris, you will play a key role in supporting innovative network solutions. You will work on multiple programs and initiatives, collaborating with internal and external teams to plan and design IP network configurations for TDM to IP network migrations for the FAA. Your efforts will ensure the successful implementation of equipment and services deliverables for the FTI Network.

Essential Functions:

• Engineering customized configurations for IP networking equipment based on customer requirement.
• Developing and maintaining Enterprise IP Addressing plans.
• Deploying planned configuration changes to support site or standards modifications.
• Maintaining accurate network documentation and homing plans.
• Providing 2nd level support to IP service activation teams.
• Collaborating with IP Engineers to create and maintain configuration baselines of network equipment.
• Ability to obtain a FAA Public Trust clearance or a U.S. Government Security Clearance. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Domain knowledge of data protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EIGRP, HSRP, IS-IS, LDP, PIM, MSDP, and Ethernet.
• Automation scripting experience (e.g., Python).
• Cisco networking certifications (CCNP).
