Job Description:
The Program Management Excellence (PMX) organization is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tools Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of business tools and systems that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional and cross-segment teams to gather and analyze business requirements, manage projects, and ensure effective stakeholder management. Additionally, you will be supporting the development and coordination of training and implementation for new tools.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of existing tools and potential new tools to determine their effectiveness and alignment with business needs
- Establish and maintain metrics to aid in the analysis of tool effectiveness to determine necessary changes and maintain tool pipeline
- Lead coordination with the Segment PMX groups to define and execute on Standard Tools Roadmap
- Develop tactical plans in alignment with PMX strategy for new tool development, deployment, and subsequent O&M activities
- Identify risks and impacts from tool changes and develop plans to address or mitigate as needed to streamline implementation
- Lead training, support, and communication efforts to end-users to ensure they are proficient in using the tools and systems
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement new tools and systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes
- Provide recurring status reports to executive stakeholders on key PMX initiatives, including all tool related activities and ancillary activities such as red program reviews and the PMX dashboard in conjunction with segment PMX leads
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a STEM field of study and at least 9 years in Program/Project Management type role in a defense business with complex product development spanning multiple phases of program lifecycle. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated Earned Value Management experience
- Strong analytical skills and experience in evaluating quantitative and qualitative data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities
- Experience building and maintaining plans in Microsoft Project
- Masters of Business Administration degree
- Experience or training in Agile, Lean UX, and Design Thinking methodologies
