Job Description:

The ERP Solution Architect will be responsible for leading system design and architecture for a large scale integration into SAP S/4HANA, with conversions from multiple legacy ERP applications.  Responsibilities include:  defining the ERP system design and architecture strategy, while working closely with business, technical and leadership stakeholders to ensure a successful implementation and operation of the SAP ERP system.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for leading system design and architecture of a large SAP S/4HANA integration project
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting progress on solution architecture tasks, including identification of schedule or technical risks and corresponding mitigation plans
  • Collaboration with functional analysts, business and project stakeholders to gather and analyze technical requirements, and develop as-is and to-be integration and solution designs, while ensuring alignment with business goals and SAP best practices.
  • Responsible for development and implementation solution strategies, including data conversion, system interfaces, and process harmonization.
  • Technical oversight of system configuration, customization, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA modules.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Design scalable and secure SAP landscapes across development, quality, and production
  • Coordination with ERP development resources to ensure technical and coding tasks align with overarching solution design.
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity and consistency of data across integrated systems through effective data governance and quality management.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring successful project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale ERP implementation projects.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, modules, and integration capabilities.
  • Knowledge of SAP architecture, including SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to ERP configuration, development and integration
  • Experience with design and architecture of SAP S/4HANA solutions with integration into various business processes and systems.
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and SAP best practices.
  • Extensive experience with the development and implementaiton of integration strategies, including data migration, system interfaces, and process harmonization.
  • In-depth understanding of ERP systems and their capabilities. Experience with ERP modules such as finance, supply chain, and manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of technical and thought leadership for large-scale implementation projects, preferably within large ERP systems like SAP, PeopleSoft or Oracle EBS.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify, analyze, and resolve business process gaps and technical development issues.
  • Demonstrated technical experience, including support of management’s resource planning and task estimating, as well as mentorship of junior resources for adherence to software development and design best practices
  • Ability to create technical analysis/design documentation required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills a must. Includes the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders, including business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
  • Technical skills in SQL, ETL tools, and data modeling.
  • Certifications such as PMP, CDMP, or ERP-specific certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate) are a plus.
  • Experience with SAP integration technologies such as SAP Integration Suite, SAP iDocs, BAPIs, SAP Gateway, and API Management.
  • Familiar with software development methodologies and lifecycle including change management.
