Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an experienced and innovative Mission System Architect (MSA) to join our advanced technology team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in designing, developing, and integrating a complex Air Traffic Management (ATM) communication network, with a strong focus on SD-WAN architecture and requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker who can implement a complete architecture design and follow the technical direction to create this mission-critical system, ensuring that it meets rigorous performance, reliability, and security standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate complex ATM communication networks with a focus on SD-WAN architecture and requirements
  • Create and present key systems engineering artifacts and program gate reviews (TBR, PCR, PDR, CDR, TRR, ORR)
  • Manage and maintain System, Subsystem, and Component level specifications using applications such as JAMA and DOORS
  • Implement a comprehensive architecture design
  • Follow and establish technical direction for the mission-critical system
  • Ensure the system meets high standards of performance, reliability, and security
  • Ability to create and execute automated scripts for the purpose of network configuration automation

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
  • 5 years of experience in system engineering and system architecture
  • 5 to 7 years of legacy Telecom technology (e.g., Frame Relay, TDM)
  • 3+ years of emerging Telecom technology (e.g., SD-WAN, OTN, 5G, LTE)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Air Traffic Management systems, Air Navigation protocols, terminologies and or aviation
  • International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) certification
  • Scripting background in PYTHON or any other scripting language
