Job Description:

L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking an Inventory Management Support to join our team. This person will be responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks supporting the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary. Will aslo schedule and cordinate GFE hardware.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for performing the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Prepares and packs orders for shipment.
  • Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
  • Holds ability to handle items (up to 35 lbs.) utilizing proper lifting techniques and material handling aids (e.g. pallet jacks, height adjustable carts, etc.) and may operate a forklift upon receipt of internal certification.
  • Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.
  • Checks receipts against PO’s for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.
  • Checks materials requiring certifications to a specification or requirement.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and ability to maintain compliance with L3Harris specific Environment Health and Safety policy/procedure regarding material handling.
  • Perform critical path analysis to identify and mitigate delays that could impact production schedules
  • Analyze material configuration and job order status using Windows-based computer systems and software
  • Coordinate and negotiate workflow through multiple work centers via various functional organizations to secure needed resources while ensuring changing customer demands, and schedule deadlines are met.
  • Identify and create goals that lead to the successful completion of project deliverables within the allotted time.
  • Knowledge of GFE Hardware.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience working in a warehouse and/or production shipping and receiving environment
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Advanced with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience with MRP and Agile/PDM software tools
  • Organizational skill
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or other highly schedule-based environment
  • Experience in project or program execution techniques
