Job Description:

Responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly and troubleshooting operations. Responsible for recording all work operations performed, recording tooling information and inputting other specifications into a computer-based program. Comprehends and interprets a variety of technical specifications, terms and documents. Follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Able to perform daily duties with minimal supervision.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 3-4+ years’ experience assembling and troubleshooting electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience interpreting blueprints and schematics.
  • Prior experience using power meters and signal generators.
  • Prior soldering experience.
  • Experience with MS Office suite and related computer functions/applications.
  • Computer Technology: Microsoft Windows and Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • RF Concepts: Power in Watts or dBM, and general RF propagation associated with antennas/receivers/transmitters
  • Cellular Protocols: GSM, CDMA, UMTS, LTE, 5G NR, etc.
  • Test Equipment: Base Station Emulators, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Power Meters, Test Phones, Oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Computer Networking: Ethernet, Hubs, Routers, etc.
  • Performs various activities required to support testing of customer products or test systems including, but not limited to setting up, performing tests and recording data according to established processes and quality control measures.
  • Ability to make minor software adjustment to programs if necessary
  • Create, modify or produce documentation or procedures (You could change this to be more of a support task)
  • Reviews test documentation for thoroughness and accuracy
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, mechanical and assembly drawings.
