Job Description:
L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions (IVS) sector is looking for a highly motivated candidate to fulfill the role of Director, Domestic Sales & BD. This role is a senior level key stakeholder and highly visible leadership position. This member will lead the domestic sales team, lead domestic campaigns, and manage domestic channel partners.
L3Harris’s Integrated Vision Solutions (IVS) sector, headquartered in Londonderry, NH, fuses command and control with real-time situational awareness; the warfighter has actionable intelligence to drive decisive actions and enhance mission success. IVS designs, manufactures and delivers integrated vision technologies providing advanced night vision and laser aiming solutions.
Reporting to the IVS Director of Global Sales & Strategy, this Director will shape, develop and qualify the IVS sector’s domestic growth pipeline aligned with the sector’s growth strategy, lead the capture of key domestic campaigns and pursuits, guide the team in achieving annual orders and long term strategic plan goals, and manage our channel partners to ensure we meet our commercial sales commitments
As part of a IVS BD organization, this position is responsible for developing short and long‑range objectives, strategic business growth plans, and product sales initiatives for the domestic market aligned with the growth and profitability goals of the IVS sector. The individual will be responsible for leading a team of Sales and BD professionals, shaping and keeping sold current and follow-on business and identifying, shaping and capturing new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include domestic order management, forecasting, domestic sales team management, managing domestic customer relationships, and leading domestic campaigns.
The Director, Domestic Sales & BD must be able to interact within the broad levels of customer leadership, as well as internal company leaders and peers. The successful candidate is a seasoned professional and an effective business leader with a high sense of urgency and natural ability to garner top performance from others within and outside his/her organization.
Essential Functions:
- Lead a domestic Sales & Business Development team to achieve and exceed Annual Operating Plan (AOP) order commitment for the sector.
- Build and manage a geographically dispersed organization to meet quota and strategic goals
- Provide leadership in sales strategy, product lifecycle, and business capture; ensure effective pipeline and CRM management.
- Demonstrated track record of developing, shaping and winning profitable new business.
- Drive customer engagement, maintain key relationships, and personally support major accounts
- Manage channel partners to meet commercial sales commitments
- Identify market opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them
- Lead strategic domestic campaigns to shape customer requirements and drive growth
- Oversee major bids and proposals, including opportunity, risk, and financial analysis
- Foster a culture aligned with company ethics and business practices
- Possess strong communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration and cross functional leadership skills.
- Develop and present executive level briefings and presentations on business cases that support growth in existing and new domestic markets.
- In depth knowledge of DoD requirements and acquisition processes.
- Travel regularly (up to and over 50%)
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree with 15 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 13 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.

- Deep customer relationships and understanding of USG acquisition processes.
- Familiarity with a breadth of government contracting vehicles and structures, including in FAR PART 15, FAR 12 contracting and OTAs
- Proven leadership in developing and executing strategic sales and business development initiatives across multiple sites
- Strong track record in complex capture, commercial management, and meeting sales targets
- Experience in competitive analysis, price‑to‑win strategies, and synthesizing market intelligence
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; executive presence and influence
- Demonstrated success leading large, matrixed teams with a focus on metrics and financial results
- 15+ years of capture experience, ideally within DoD; experience leading multi‑divisional teams is a plus
- Familiarity with industry research tools (e.g., FPDS, FedBizOps, GovWinIQ, Avascent, DACIS, Janes, Bloomberg Government)
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C. area, Denver, or NYC areas is $178,500 - $332,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, Vermont and Virginia is $167,000 - $310,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
