Job Description:

Experienced professional with strong program management skills and a practical understanding of manufacturing/Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) environments.  This is a customer-facing role requiring confident communication regularly, proactive leadership, and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced conditions.  This role will also serve as Deputy Portfolio Manager for the broader Sustainment Portfolio, supporting strategy, reporting, and coordination.  The selected candidate will manage projects or processes with moderate supervision and will collaborate with stakeholders across functions to meet operational and financial targets for assigned programs.

Essential Functions:

·         Directs all phases of MRO & production programs from inception through completion

·         Drives program execution in order to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs

·         Acts as the primary point of contact with internal teams and external customers; leads regular customer meetings and program performance reviews

·         Manages cost, schedule, and technical performance across all assigned programs

·         Supports contract negotiation, change management, and development of proposals, Statements of Work (SOWs), and financial terms

·         Provides leadership in ambiguous environments, making sound decisions under pressure and aligning cross-functional teams toward shared objectives

·         Assists portfolio manager with reporting, resource planning, and strategy execution across the broader portfolio

·         Leads program reviews with executive leadership (internal and external) to communicate status, financials, risks, and opportunities.

·         Collaborates with IPT to resolve issues and drive on-time performance

·         Supports process improvement initiatives and identifies opportunities for increased efficiency or customer satisfaction

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering) and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering) and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

·         Graduate Degree in a technical field or MBA with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

·         Must be a United States citizen

Preferred Additional Skills:

·         Demonstrated success in customer-facing roles and leading cross-functional teams

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences

·         Proficient/Expert in Microsoft Office suite

  •        Experience with DoD contracts

·         Experience with IR sensor manufacturing/test

·         Experience with an Integrated Project Team (IPT) structure

·         Experience with Risk and Opportunity Management

·         Experience with P&L responsibility

·         Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
