Job Description:
We are seeking a Support Engineer to work at our Mason, Ohio Facility.
As a member of the engineering team, the successful candidate will work as the technical lead supporting the production of RF transmitters/receivers and control avionics for the Space industry. The Product Support Engineer is responsible for investigating production test anomalies, which includes developing forward plans to determine root cause, establishing corrective and preventative actions, formally documenting the investigation, tracking progress and providing status to both internal and external customers. This position is also responsible for evaluating production results for trends and developing improvements to increase the efficiency and yield of the production process.
Essential Functions:
- Generate clear and concise plans to guide the troubleshooting effort
- Troubleshoot unit and test equipment failures on the production floor
- Work collaboratively with internal and external customers
- Drive failure investigations to root cause and implement appropriate corrective and preventative actions
- Document investigations in test discrepancy reports
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. (Experience with electronic analog and digital circuitry, and troubleshoot complex electronic systems)

- Understanding of RF Systems: Knowledge of transmitters and receivers.
- Additional Test Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in using Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, Generators, Digital Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, and Power Supplies.
- Circuitry Understanding: Competent in electronic analog and digital circuitry, including voltage dividers, op-amps, digital ICs, transistors, FPGAs, etc.
- Mathematical Analysis: Ability to calculate and analyze voltages and currents in a circuit.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours as required to support production schedules.
- Customer Interaction: Comfortable interfacing with both internal and external customers.
- Collaboration: Desire to work collaboratively with other organizations to improve processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

- MS Office Proficiency: Skilled with MS Office products including MS Word and Excel.
- Characterization Measurements: Experience in performing various RF characterization measurements such as Phase Noise, AM-AM and AM-PM measurement, Spectral Characterization, Noise Figure, RF Power, and Bit Error Rate.
- Alignment and Troubleshooting: Experience in alignment and troubleshooting of various RF circuits such as Modulators, RF amplifiers, Diplexers, Filters, Oscillators, Synthesizers, etc.
