Job Description: 

 

Performs planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases. Implements planned production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. Reviews schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules. Collects and analyzes data and prepares reports including recommendations to meet internal and external demands for materials and finished goods. Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.

 

L3Harris announced on January 5th, that AE Industrial Partners (“AE Industrial”) has agreed to acquire a controlling interest in L3Harris’ Space Propulsion and Power Systems business. This position has been identified as one that will transition to the new standalone company upon closing of the transaction. Until that time, L3Harris will continue its hiring activity within this business. 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Accurately move and transact material in a timely manner

  • Manage inventory locations

  • Enter data accurately into CostPoint (ERP system)

  • Data entry into Excel to provide traceability and metrics

  • Communicate product or documentation discrepancies

  • Assist multiple supporting functions with various material related duties

  • Perform tasks designated by management

  • 5S responsibilities for designated area

  • Responsible for packaging shipments of completed goods against external sales order or customer demand.

  • Responsible for receipt of units in Lab, MES, Database, create E-File Folder, create travelers, and Cost Point processes.

  • Perform necessary Cost Point transactions to allocate complete assemblies to upper-level manufacturing orders, complete reliefs of dispatched production on the operating floor, research production control issues and questions when asked by various supporting job functions.

  • Responsible for transactions of nonconforming material within our quality systems and ERP systems.

  • Expedites flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules.

  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands.

  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance.

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. 

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Edge

  • Experience with Costpoint/TipQA is a bonus

  • Experience with data management / processing preferred

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and time management

  • Ability to multitask and change priorities as directed

  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
