Job Description:
The Manufacturing Technician D is a highly developed support individual contributor responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the assembly, inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and rework of components, subassemblies, and finished products in accordance with established procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules. This position works autonomously on assignments requiring judgment and initiative and applies highly developed job knowledge and skills to solve routine and moderately complex manufacturing issues. The Manufacturing Technician D may act as a mentor to lower-level peers, provide guidance on tasks, and make recommendations for solutions that support production efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:

Comply with all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, engineering, and materials personnel, to meet operational objectives.

Provide guidance and task-level support to lower-level peers and may serve as a mentor within the work group.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.

Complete required production, quality, and test documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Support and contribute to resolution of manufacturing and process-related issues.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Basic computer skills required for data entry, documentation, and production tracking.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Basic mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools and measuring instruments.

Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, specifications, and other production documentation.

Performs assembly, integration, and testing of mechanical, electrical, or electro-mechanical components using work instructions, drawings, and specifications

Uses hand tools, power tools, measurement devices, and test equipment to support production and troubleshooting activities

Interprets blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturing documentation to complete assigned build tasks

Supports inspection, rework, and repair of production hardware to meet quality and workmanship standards

Documents production steps, test results, nonconformances, and material usage in manufacturing systems or shop travelers

Assists with equipment setup, workstation organization, and process flow activities to maintain safe and efficient manufacturing operations

Participates in continuous improvement efforts related to assembly methods, defect reduction, and production efficiency
Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:

Highly developed job knowledge and skills in manufacturing, production, assembly, test, or technician-related work.
